Project Description

AI for Seniors (AI4S) is a forward-looking Erasmus+ initiative designed to strengthen digital inclusion by equipping older adults with the practical AI & digital literacy skills needed to thrive in an increasingly connected world. Across Sweden, Ireland, Denmark & Spain, the project supports seniors in developing confidence with everyday technologies that can enhance independence, well-being & social participation. Through accessible, age-friendly learning, AI4S places seniors at the centre of Europe’s digital transformation.

Driven by the belief that digital progress must be inclusive, the project addresses persistent inequalities: only 28% of EU adults aged 65–74 currently possess basic digital skills, leaving many unable to benefit from AI tools related to health, communication, smart living & personal finance. AI4S bridges this divide by offering practical modules, hands-on support & meaningful intergenerational learning experiences.

Central to the project is its community approach. Seniors learn alongside educators, community organisations & younger generations…each empowered with tailored resources that build capacity for long-term impact. Adult educators gain innovative methods for teaching AI responsibly, while youth volunteers receive guidance on effective, empathetic mentoring, strengthening intergenerational bonds that contribute to more resilient communities.

AI4S will deliver a suite of open-access resources, including:

  • practical AI learning modules,
  • a deployer toolkit for educators &
  • an intergenerational digital toolkit to support collaborative learning.

Momentum serves as the Dissemination Lead for AI for Seniors, ensuring the project’s vision, results & resources reach seniors, educators & communities across Europe. We will develop the branding and coordinate a professional, targeted communication strategy that strengthens digital inclusion, raises awareness of the project’s impact & supports partners in engaging their regional networks. To ensure consistent communication, we will guide partners in the rollout of newsletters, social media campaigns & launch events. Our role ensures that AI4S resources achieve long-term visibility, uptake & sustainability beyond the project lifetime.
