The SHINE Project – Strengthening Female Community Leaders Toolkit

We have been busy working on the SHINE Project, this project aims to upskill women with the knowledge and behaviours necessary to confidently and successfully transition into leadership roles in their third sector or community workplace. SHINE targets female staff of non-profit sector organisations who come from disadvantaged backgrounds economically and/or have few formal qualifications, form part of a minority or immigrant community and women that can transfer these leadership skills in the private or public sector.

While we are in the process of updating the Open Education Resources, we like to tell you about the Educators Toolkit. The VET Reach and Teach Educators Toolkit is a comprehensive, tightly focused and very practical resource giving VET Educators practical tools to improve their provision and impact of women leadership, (Reach) and introducing vocational education providers to the importance of leadership training for women in the third sector (Teach).

The Toolkit is an excellent resource and well worth a read, it contains thought-provoking topics such as creating a supportive space, different learning styles, sample programmes for inspiration, and more.
