We have worked with The Food Hub committee since 2002 in initially devising the innovative business model and securing the capital funding to realise the project. We have since worked with alot of the individual tenants and prospective tenants to help them to develop a compelling business case.
What we love about The Food Hub? It is Ireland’s Premier artisan multi tenant food production enterprise centre! We love that the Hub pays tribute to Drumshanbo’s rich food heritage and is fuelled by ambition and innovation.
Momentum developed the business case and a successful RRDF Category 1 application for An Bealach, a Creative Entrepreneurship and Education Hub in Ballaghaderreen. This Creative Hub will provide a collaborative work environment with a mixture of dedicated and shared/open plan workspaces. This exciting development for Ballaghaderreen will also incorporate a Social Innovation & Inclusion Lab as a place where ideas are generated, incubated and where change is made.
We completed Just Transition applications on behalf of Kildare County Council, Longford County Council, Westmeath County Council x 3, AIT/Bord na Mona, and Kilcormac Development Association for regeneration projects based on a transition to a low carbon economy. All seven applications were successful.
Momentum developed the business case and a successful RRDF application and grant award of €1.9m for Roscrea Enterprise, Digital and Social Impact Hub (REACH) to repurpose and transform a 11,450 sqft / 1,064 sqm vacant commercial unit (vacant since 2011) into an enterprise, education and community innovation hub.
The National Association of Community Enterprise Centres (NACEC) is the national representative organisation of community enterprise centres in Ireland. In 2019, it commissioned Momentum to complete its first Strategic Plan. NACEC supports, promotes and develops the community and regional enterprise sector across 120 communities. We also completed a successful funding application to the Regional Enterprise Development Fund 2019. Engagement to update the Strategic Plan commenced in October 2021.
Momentum successfully completed an Enterprise Ireland Regional Enterprise Development Fund application for Agri-Innovation Hub Ireland, a not-for-profit partnership led by Cork County Council, Tyndall National Institute, Cork Institute of Technology (CIT), Dairygold and Teagasc, with a mission to escalate the growth path of Ireland’s agritech sector and entrepreneurship therein. It sees the transformation of an old building into Ireland’s first agritech infrastructure project in Ireland to have multi-agency support at one location to include incubation units and a knowledge centre with academics and industrialists embedded in the hub to facilitate the commercialisation of research and proof of concept.
REDF Enterprise Ireland application and robust feasibility study to build a new business case for Boyne Valley Food Hub at Navan Enterprise Centre. Currently working on a plan to develop Navan Digital Hub.
Secured funding of almost €1.5 million over the 3 projects (the maximum available was €500,000 per project) for 3 enterprise centres in Co. Tipperary from Enterprise Ireland Community Enterprise Scheme
Our work in funding yields a very high success rate. Between 2018-2021, we secured substantial funding packages for our clients. In 2018 alone, we secured substantial funding packages, in excess of €40 million, for our clients.
Conceived in 2015, Taste Leitrim is an ongoing initative from Leitrim County Council designed to put Leitrim on the Food Tourism Map of Ireland. The initiative initially brought together a multi disciplined team to include videography, food styling, branding, digital marketing and tourism route specialists.
Moran McNamara is headed up by two of Leitrim's most capable and driven entrepreneurs, Sheila Moran and Declan McNamara.

Headed up by our friends Sean McGloin, John Brennan and Nav Logan, Blakes produce a range of award winning organic products including: Blakes Always Organic Feel Good Kefir, Culture Blend Coffee, Organic Chocolate and will soon be launching an Organic Cheese.
Sinead and her husband Pascal Gillard head up the multiple award winning Jinnys Bakery which has grown from strength to strength since 2003. Jinnys Bakery is a family business, rooted in tradition based in Drumshabo with views of the beautiful Acres Lake.
