We are delighted at Momentum Educate and Innovate to be one of eight partners collaborating on the recently launched MY PEACE Erasmus+ project. The first partner meeting was recently held online and provided a great opportunity for all the partners to outline their roles and responsibilities as well as their objectives for the project.
MUSIC for YOUTH – a PEACE building approach (MY PEACE) empowers youth to be engaged in the peacebuilding process in a way that is attractive and close to youth, through the vessel of music. The objective is to see MY PEACE contributing to the peacebuilding process in Europe, by providing an innovative, forward-looking education approach to youth educators, enabling them to be the carriers of peacebuilding education including the youth.
Over the next 2 ½ years partners will work to develop a Peacebuilding Approach Roadmap with a methodology to explain the approach and compendium of good peacebuilding through music examples to inspire youth, youth educators, music and peace stakeholders. We will also create My Peace Music Production, a collection of 10 tangible peacebuilding through music productions that send peacebuilding messages across Europe to directly engage youth. The project will also organise an International Learning event in France which will include workshops, lectures and musical elements with the topic of youth in the focus of peacebuilding through music.
The consortium of eight partners includes organisations from France, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Denmark, Ireland and Ukraine each bringing a unique and valuable skillset to ensure the success of the project.
