The EARTH Project kick-off meeting in Szczecin

The Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership Project “Ethical and Responsible Transportation and Handling” (EARTH) Project kick-off meeting, took place in Szczecin on February 14th – 15th, 2024. The purpose of the meeting was to establish a basis for effective collaboration and impact-driven teamwork within the EARTH Project. This 2-year project aims to equip logistics companies and HEIs with the necessary tools and resources to take meaningful action towards sustainability, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient EU economy.

As a follow-up project from our recently concluded Strategic Alliances Project “Innovating Digitally”, EARTH continues the efforts to expand sustainable innovation teaching in logistics to prepare students for the challenges of the 21st-century logistics industry.

Albie attended the meeting on behalf of Momentum. As the project is all about Ethical and Responsible travel, Albie decided to take an eco travel option. He got the bus from Sligo to Dublin airport, the plane from Dublin to Berlin, and the bus into Poland for the meeting. He took the same method of transport for the return journey.

The project team will develop Open Educational Resources (OERs), benchmarking tools and methodologies that promote the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into innovation management practices in the logistics sector.

The project is led by the Univeristy of Szczecin (Poland), and the consortium includes EGE University, European E-learning Institute, FH Münster University of Applied Sciences, Momentum Marketing Services Limited, Stowarzyszenie Wspierania Techniki Polskiej and AILOG Associazione Italiana di Logistica e di Supply Chain Management.

We’d like to thank to the University of Szczecin for being such wonderful hosts. Watch this space for further updates.
