The MODES Final Conference and Transnational Project Meeting

The final conference and transnational partner meeting of the MODES project took place in Leiden, Netherlands on September 11th and 12th.

The project partners presented the main outcomes and tools developed through this initiative focused on international student integration in higher education. MODES (Methodologies for Orienting and Developing International Student Integration in Higher Education) has developed a training program and resources to enhance professors’ and tutors’ ability to create inclusive, student-centered learning environments that effectively accommodate international students’ diverse needs.

The MODES project has promoted active learning, intercultural exchange, and equitable participation in academic settings and established a framework to improve international students’ academic and social integration, focusing on practical support mechanisms for classroom engagement and campus life.

The final conference consisted of presentations on effective practices for international student integration, a panel discussion with academic experts, and case study analyses from participating universities.

The final project meeting gave the project partners the opportunity to review deliverables, finalise reporting requirements, and confirm all key indicators for the successful completion of all project activities.

It’s been a pleasure to work alongside the MODES project partners: Link Campus University, Mitropolitiko College, BKCon, System Dynamics, Universiteit Leiden.
