We were delighted to be able to meet in person recently with the partners for the Sustainable Smallholders Project recently. The meeting took place in the beautiful city of Nitra, Slovakia. We’d like to say a huge thanks to our wonderful host Prof Zuzana.
It was a bittersweet meeting, as we are entering the final stages of the project, and we’ve had some wonderful discussions with our project partners: NCASS (Nationwide Caterers Association), Slovak University of Agriculture Leitrim Organic Farmers European E-learning Institute, Mancomunitat de la Ribera Baixa and GAL MERIDAUNIA
Meeting is person was a wonderful chance to review our results – check out our Smallholders Sustainable Development Guidebook and Compendium of Good Practices, practical guides for anyone involved in small holdings (growers, educators, farmers etc). Our Guides break down the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), making them relevant and achievable at a smallholder farming level. In both resources, but especially our Compendium of Good Practices, we share learning and experiences in key SDG themes such as: Food Security, Sustainable Agriculture, Food and Health, Food Waste, Climate and Environment and Innovative Technologies.
