Empowerment through Enterprise (ETE) will provide high quality innovative enterprise education to young migrant and minority ethnic women – helping them realise their full potential. We will do this by improving the available teaching materials and educating entrepreneurship educators on the difficulties which young women face.
Currently research shows that Enterprise Educators are ill-equipped to deal with the needs of minority ethnic and migrant women. By providing opportunities for professional development for staff in VET institutions, Youth work organisations and Migrant Services Organisations ETE will improve the access to and quality of entrepreneurship education within the context of inclusion and diversity so as to unlock the potential of young people.
Empowerment through Enterprise aims to:
- Increase understanding of the importance of differentiated training for young migrant and minority ethnic women
- Increase the number of entrepreneurship education providers interested in inclusive education
- Introduce innovative pedagogical approaches to improve inclusion and ensure active participation
- Improve educational resources and training for enterprise educators
