Leon was in beautiful Nitra, Slovakia recently for the transnational project meeting of the EU Dare Project. Nitra is the oldest town in Slovakia, and the views of the whole town from the Castle and Calvary Hill were stunning. The river Nitra runs though the town and there are some lovely walks alongside it.
The meeting was hosted by Slovak Agricultural University In Nitra, and this was very productive, as the team discussed the structure of our EU-Dare Course on Agroecology. This is near completion and it will be presented in several ways online in a modern and interactive way so that it is more user friendly for our time-shy target group. Watch this space for updates.
The EU Dare project are developing a suite of resources that will increase the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices, specifically agroecology, among smallholder farmers across Europe. Agroecology is a holistic and integrated approach that simultaneously applies ecological and social concepts and principles to the design and management of sustainable agriculture and food systems.
Thank you to our partners for all their hard work on this project. Find out more about EU Dare on the website, Facebook, and Instagram
