‘Tourism doesn’t just mean holidays — it can include cultural visits, exchanges, workshops, and community tours that bring people together to learn from the past and promote peace and understanding’
Aim of Paths to Peace
P2P is an Erasmus+ project that gives young people aged 18–30 the tools, training, and opportunities to design tourism-based peace initiatives in their communities. Whether you’re from Ukraine, Cyprus, Ireland, or any region shaped by conflict or division — or you’re simply passionate about building a better world — this project is for you.
P2P empowers young people like you to turn tourism into a tool for peacebuilding. Whether you come from a place affected by conflict, social division, or you’re just passionate about making a difference, this is your chance to lead with purpose. Through exciting workshops, ideas, real-world challenges, mentorship, and international collaboration, P2P gives you the skills, confidence, and network to drive change in your community — and across Europe.
By joining us, you’re not just learning — you’re creating solutions, sharing your story, and becoming part of a global network of Peace Building Advocates. Together, we can show how tourism can inspire understanding, heal divides, and spark action.
We believe:
- Peace happens when young people lead.
- Tourism can be a force for healing, not just profit.
- Real stories can break down barriers and build lasting understanding.
Why Does Paths to Peace Matter?
Young people are fundamental to the future of our societies, the peace processes, and using tourism as a tool. P2P fills this gap by providing:
- Non-formal education in intercultural dialogue, civic engagement, and conflict sensitivity
- Real-world experience in leading local change
- A platform to share your story and influence European-level peacebuilding
P2P is about creating space for youth voices to be heard — not just as beneficiaries, but as active designers of a more peaceful future.
Who Is It For?
- Young people (18–30) especially those from conflict-affected or socially divided regions
- Youth workers, organisations and educators seeking new methods of non-formal peace education
- Local tourism or youth professionals ready to reimagine tourism as a tool for youth to do good and promote peace.
