In January, partners of the Accelerate Future HEI project gathered in person at the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten (USTP) for a two-day transnational partner meeting marking the start of a critical new phase to finalise the Institutional Transformation Acceleration Projects (ITAPs) and ensure the long-term sustainability of institutional transformation across the participating nine universities.
With only 11 months left in the project, the meeting focused on turning progress into lasting impact, balancing ambition with feasibility, strengthening our alliances, and prioritising the most valuable elements of change. The atmosphere was both reflective and forward-looking, combining structured workshops with creative, hands-on collaboration.
Day one brought a full programme of exchange, including:
- A project overview and shared reflection on our achievements to date
- An ITAPs workshop led by UIIN
- An Impact Workshop facilitated by TUM International
- An Infographics Workshop by Momentum,
In this workshop led by Samantha Carty, partners started to translate their three years of transformation work into clear, visual storytelling. Partners embraced the creative challenge, pitching their ITAPs in “infographic style”, a powerful reminder that complex institutional change can be communicated simply and effectively.
Day two included a guided tour of USTP’s labs and insights into their Creative Pre-Incubator Programme, offering inspiration for how innovation ecosystems can be embedded within higher education institutions.
A heartfelt thank you goes to USTP for their outstanding hospitality, organisation, and warm welcome. Most importantly, the meeting reinforced the strength of this community, its shared commitment, trust, and collective belief that Accelerate Future HEI will leave a meaningful, sustainable legacy beyond the project’s lifetime. As this final year unfolds, partners will harness creativity and confidence to deepen impact and continue transforming higher education together.
