The partners involved in the Cultural Heritage 2.0 Project are delighted to announce that The Future of Cultural Heritage Sector Scenarios is now live. The Future of Cultural Heritage Sector Scenarios will analyse the post-COVID needs of the Cultural heritage sector and develop forward-looking scenarios of potential for the digital transformation of the sector with a special focus on the redefinition of business models for cultural heritage organisations, to develop outputs such as the Good Practice Cases Collection, Cultural Heritage Challenges and Needs Status Quo Report and ultimately “The Future of Cultural Heritage Sector Scenarios” Book.
The Future of Cultural Heritage Sector Scenarios has a two-fold aim, Researching the Now, which will inform us of the CH sector’s current challenges and needs, and Scanning the Future, which will identify emerging trends and scenarios for CH.
Researching the NOW
- 36+ qualitative interviews, specifically researching the potential for cultural heritage organisations’ business model evolution
- We will present 18+ leaders of cultural heritage organisations and 18+ experts in innovative business model development
- 24 case study interviews on good practices in rapid transformation in the cultural heritage sector throughout COVID-19 pandemic adjustments
Scanning the FUTURE
- Scanning and identifying 150+ trends which will lead to future directions, behaviours, business models, technology and values in cultural heritage, these trends will be gathered using Future design oriented activities such as Horizon scanning
- A collaborative sense-making workshop to share insight and validate findings, making sense of the data and integrating our research to draw conclusions that will inform the development of the sector
