The people working in healthcare need the skills, knowledge and confidence to use these tools effectively while continuing to put people at the centre of care. This is where the Hybrid Healthcare project comes in.

Digital transformation is already changing healthcare systems across Europe. Healthcare professionals increasingly need to understand technologies such as telemedicine, artificial intelligence and electronic health records, alongside the management, organisational and interpersonal skills needed to use them effectively. The Hybrid Healthcare project is focused on making sure education keeps pace.
The project supports universities and training institutions to update healthcare education with practical, future-focused learning. The aim is about helping future healthcare professionals understand how technology can be used effectively, responsibly and alongside the human side of healthcare.
One of the key elements of Hybrid Healthcare is its Starter Kit. The Starter Kit is the first major output of the project and sets the groundwork for everything that follows. It brings together three core elements: a state-of-the-art review of current digital health and hybrid management practices, a set of case studies that show how these approaches are being applied in real contexts, and a package of digital tools to support educators in introducing them into their teaching.
The project also includes Hybrid Healthcare Bootcamps. They provide hands-on experience with technologies like telemedicine and electronic health records, while also building teamwork, leadership and problem-solving skills.
Another important part of the project is its Open Educational Resources (OERs). They are designed to give both students and educators practical, accessible ways to build skills in digital health and hybrid management. They go beyond theory, offering interactive learning materials, examples, and activities that show how new technologies and approaches can be applied in real healthcare settings.
