Project Description

Project description

The MOSAIC project aims to meet the specific needs identified in Entrepreneurship Education for underrepresented founders and society. Entrepreneurship Education Providers face a significant gap in effectively educating underrepresented founders due to limited specialised knowledge, financial resources, and capacity. To bridge this gap, education must become more accessible, inclusive, and up-to-date, incorporating comprehensive management knowledge and broader skills aligned with the EntreComp framework.

Educators need awareness and resources to deliver relevant and impactful education. Furthermore, the entire entrepreneurial ecosystem must evolve to address these limitations, ensuring that education remains responsive to the current needs and challenges

Project Need

The MOSAIC project is dedicated to meeting the distinct needs of underrepresented founders, who frequently face substantial obstacles when establishing and expanding their businesses. These challenges encompass restricted access to financial resources, a lack of customised educational assistance, and an entrepreneurial ecosystem that often fails to fully acknowledge their unique capabilities and circumstances.

Through advancements in adult entrepreneurship education and heightened investor awareness regarding these challenges, the project aims to foster a more inclusive environment. This approach seeks to level the playing field, ensuring that underrepresented founders enjoy equal opportunities for success within the European entrepreneurial landscape

Target Group

The MOSAIC project primarily targets professionals and beneficiaries within the field of adult entrepreneurship education. Specifically, it aims to address the needs of professionals engaged in adult entrepreneurship education, including educators and institutions. The project will introduce innovative resources designed to enhance the relevance and impact of their educational programmes for underrepresented founders. These resources can be integrated into existing programmes or used to develop new courses.

The main beneficiaries of the MOSAIC project are underrepresented founders who participate in courses or programs utilising these resources. By tailoring entrepreneurial education to their specific challenges and skill requirements, the project aims to create a more inclusive environment. Additionally, it provides enhanced opportunities for investor awareness and networking, levelling the playing field for underrepresented founders within the European entrepreneurial landscape

Key Deliverables of the Project

  1. Competence Framework, Curriculum, Training Course (OERs), and Tutors Guide

Developing a Competence Framework and Curriculum to enhance skills and knowledge in entrepreneurship education, particularly for underrepresented founders and educators. Creating Course materials and a Tutors Guide to train educators in supporting underrepresented founders in gaining investment readiness and to raise investor awareness for inclusive financing. These efforts aim to improve the impact and inclusivity of adult entrepreneurship education across Europe.

  1. Investment Readiness Assessment Application

This work package will deliver a web-based assessment app, offering personalised feedback to identify users’ knowledge gaps and investment readiness. The app features a comprehensive questionnaire and a feedback generator, providing detailed reports in PDF format and will be translated into a range of languages for wider accessibility.

  1. Networking Hub, Knowledge Toolbox and Connector Guide

This work package enhances the project by introducing an Interactive Networking Hub with learning resources, a Knowledge Toolbox with practical tools for ethnic founders and investors, and a Connector Guide for organising networking events.
