Project Description

Food Eco-Culture Edu aims to bridge theoretical education of food relationships with other subjects through practical application of innovative solutions with community and industry collaboration. It will bring together higher education institutions, businesses, and communities across Europe to explore the intersection of food, culture, and sustainability. By leveraging the universal language of food, this innovative project aims to break down cultural barriers, promote eco-conscious practices, and prepare students for leadership in the evolving food and hospitality sector.

Through interdisciplinary collaboration, the project features cutting-edge activities such as the development of a dynamic curriculum, the establishment of Living Labs within the 4 partner HEIs, for experiential learning, and workshops engaging community and industry stakeholders. The project will foster creativity, cultural understanding, and sustainable solutions.

Expected Results:

A Future of Food Report – A comprehensive study on sustainable food practices and cultural integration.

The Food Eco-Culture Edu Curriculum – Innovative interdisciplinary teaching resources, fostering sustainability and inclusivity in HEI education.

Living Labs – A space to develop real-world, innovative solutions to food, cultural, and sustainability challenges, developed and tested by students in collaboration with community and industry partners.
